Q. Who are you playing with these days? A. I am very pleased and excited to be playing with D’Vine. D'Vine actually hired me after they came across this website and liked what they read! Honestly, I couldn’t be happier. They are all great musicians, and more importantly great people. For the first time ever, I like and am friends with every guy in the band. We all like the same stuff and are about the same age. I wish we were playing more than we have been, hopefully we will hit the ground running in 2009. I am currently playing with Desperate Bandwives also.
Q. What’s the biggest show you ever played? A. Actually, that’s hard to say. I played in front of 5,000 people in 2007 at the halftime show of an Omaha Beef Game with Matt's Rocket Collection. Also, I have been fortunate enough to open up for National Acts LA Guns, Seven Mary Three and Firehouse. It’s been a fun ride!
Q. Why are you doing this site? A. I have had the site for several years now, and I really enjoy doing it! I have met a lot of great people through the years because of it. It’s amazing to me the amount of people who get on it still and write to me about it even after all these years. It has been a tremendous release for me and a way to express my thoughts to the people that know me the best, and also to those who don’t know me at all. One point along those lines, I don’t claim to be a great bass player, I do it because it’s fun. My philosophy has always been that if you don’t like what you hear, go to the bouncer and get your five bucks back because I don’t care. I do take it seriously, but at the end of the day, I play in a band to relieve stress, not to cause it. Hopefully, the people who watch me play enjoy what they hear!
Q. Are you really a lawyer? A. Probably the most asked question I get. Yes I am!! Get a hold of me for all your legal questions!
Q. Who are your major influences? A. Easy question, Michael Anthony of Van Halen is my biggest influence. I think he is one of the most underrated bass players in the world. I mimic his style quite a bit, keeping it simple and in the pocket while focusing on timing and keeping a driving beat. It’s the only way I know how to play! Also, about Michael Anthony- He does it for the right reasons and most importantly is a down to earth, everyday type of guy. It is a shame that more people in mainstream rock aren’t more like him.
Q. Who is the guy that is at your shows helping you out?
